Mark Chaland began the Nunchaku when he was 12 years old, after watching Bruce Lee and other practitioners of Nunchaku in martial arts movies.
As in his training, he made several demonstrations of Artistic Nunchaku at various times.
At age 20, advised by his relatives, he decided to contact the Federation International Combat Nunchaku and Artistic. He then went to a club in Lyon where he discovered the Fighting Nunchaku.
In 2002 he won the European Cup of Artistic Nunchaku, then in 2003 the World Championships Artistic Nunchaku. After earning the technical black belt, he decided in 2006 to open his own club in Lyon.
With 18 years experience in the Nunchaku including 10 years at the highest level in competition, Mark now wants to introduce the Nunchaku to the public.
